East Tennessee State University’s “Bucs Under the Stars” drone show is almost here.

Join us on Friday, Sept. 25, for this free Family Weekend event featuring music, games and a spectacular drone show celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

Know Before You Go

‍
• Enjoy dinner before you arrive, then head to University Commons for the festivities. There will be snacks while supplies last, and food trucks offering desserts for purchase.
‍
• The event opens at 5:30 p.m. with activities, music by the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band, and mingling. Countdown to the drone show begins at 8:25 p.m.
‍
• Parking is available in nearby campus lots (see the parking map).
‍
• Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for the evening. The best viewing area will be near the bronze Bucky statue on University Commons at the intersection of Jack Vest Drive and South Dossett Drive.

Celebrating America 250

The drone show is part of ETSU’s yearlong America 250 celebration, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence through educational programs, exhibitions, community events and experiences that encourage reflection, civic engagement and connection.
