ETSU’s 2026 “At-a-Glance” highlights academics, research, student success, athletics and regional impact with quick facts that showcase Buccaneer pride.
East Tennessee State University’s 2026 “ETSU At-a-Glance” booklet highlights intriguing and pertinent facts about university academics, campus life, administration and more. Together, these facts tell the story of a student-centered university with deep regional roots and a growing national impact.
The annual publication is comprised of “fact sheets” focused on each of the university’s colleges and schools, athletics, and various academic and administrative entities, including Student Life and Enrollment, the Sherrod Library, Alumni, Human Resources and ETSU Health. It also provides facts on other topics, such as community-engaged learning and research initiatives, ETSU’s commitment to military-affiliated students, life in the region, and more.
Photographs and colorful graphics with concise information nuggets fill the pages. Quotations from students, faculty and alumni highlight what they love about the university.
In the months to come, the facts in this booklet will be seen on video display monitors across campus and in the social media feeds of the university and its colleges and divisions.
And whether you are a student, employee, alum or friend of the university, you are invited to read “ETSU At-a-Glance” and use its information to share your pride in ETSU.
Encourage the prospective students you know to apply to ETSU. Share with them that we have more than 170 academic programs to choose from, that nearly half of our grads finish college without student debt, that the university’s students compete for prestigious scholarships and awards, and that ETSU has grads working for some of the nation’s top companies and governmental entities. And talk with the veterans you know, and their families, about ETSU’s strong commitment to military-affiliated students, which includes priority registration, specially trained staff to serve them, and access to peer mentoring and student veteran organizations.
Tell your neighbors about how ETSU’s researchers and innovators blaze new trails to improve the quality of life in our region and beyond. Over $64 million was awarded in fiscal year 2025 in sponsored projects, nearly 80% of which directly serve the region and state of Tennessee. Not only faculty, but students make a difference through research at ETSU, as shown by the 300-plus students who presented research, scholarship, creative activity and community engagement projects during the 2025 Research Day.
Talking sports? Brag on the Buccaneer SoCon championship teams in baseball and men’s soccer, tennis and golf, and on SoCon coaches of the year Lindsey Devine (volleyball) and Allen Vital (men’s soccer).
And if you have friends or family looking for work, tell them that ETSU has twice been named among the nation’s Great Colleges to Work for and is ranked among America’s Best-in-State Employers and one of America’s Best Employers for Women.
Taken together, the facts in “ETSU At-a-Glance” reflect a university that delivers opportunity, impact and pride – for students, employees, alumni and the region it serves.
