East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy is offering a free Pharmacy Career Showcase event on Saturday, Nov. 8, providing students with an opportunity to learn more about the wide variety of pharmacy careers available and the college’s flexible admissions pathways.
Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. in Building 7, ETSU’s main pharmacy building on the Mountain Home VA Campus. The event will end at 2 p.m. with an optional tour.
The event offers hands-on learning experiences, a chance to talk with student pharmacists and faculty, personalized admissions pathway information and campus tours. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
Spaces are limited and fill quickly. Participants are encouraged to register early at etsu.edu/RxAdmissions.
“The roles of pharmacists have grown exponentially over the years, from traditional roles in community pharmacies to a wide range of career options, like ambulatory care pharmacy, nuclear pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and much more,” said Steve Ellis, assistant dean for student affairs. “With October being American Pharmacists Month, we’re celebrating the fact that pharmacists are the most accessible health care providers and serve on the front lines.
“We are excited for prospective students to learn more about this exciting career and our college, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year,” Ellis continued.
