As the holiday season approaches, East Tennessee State University is reminding the campus community of several initiatives designed to provide crucial support to students, faculty, staff and community members facing food insecurity and other challenges.
Did you know that 1 out of every 3 college students faces daily food insecurity? ETSU has established multiple programs to address this critical need, and there are several ways the Buccaneer community can help make a difference this season.

Ways to Give and Get Help:
- Donate Unused Meal Swipes Students with Anytime meal plans can donate unused guest passes through the GET App. Donating meal swipes supports fellow Buccaneers who need a hot meal, helps reduce food waste and ensures your meal plan benefits go to meaningful use. To donate, log into the GET App, select “Meal Donations,” choose your Guest Meal Account and enter the number of meals you'd like to contribute. Need meal swipe assistance? Email buckyspecialist@etsu.edu or deanofstudents@etsu.edu.

- Support Bucky’s Food Pantry: Donate to Bucky’s Food Pantry, a campus organization dedicated to diminishing food insecurity on campus

- Staff Senate: Support the Season of Sharing Holiday Drive, which provides holiday baskets to members of the ETSU community in need.

- Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund This fund provides emergency financial assistance to students facing unexpected hardships. Donate to the Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund.

- Volunteer: Get involved with ETSU Serves.
 - Assist: Donate to the ETSU Emergency Employee Assistance Fund.
