And remember: the best part happens at the very end, so stick with us.
Event snapshot

Where do I graduate? The ceremony will be held in the Ballad Health Athletic Center (aka the “Mini-Dome”) on campus. Find parking and entrances on the map.
What time do I graduate? Two ceremonies — 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Not sure which one is yours? Check the schedule at etsu.edu/commencement.
How early should I arrive? Doors open 60 minutes before each ceremony. Arrive early to allow time for parking and security.
Do we need tickets? No, and there’s no limit on guests. Bring your people.
Where can guests sit? Seating is first-come, first-served. Accessible seating is available on the ground floor. Check ahead if needed.
Where do graduates sit? Enter through the center doors on the ground level of the west side (facing the parking garage) and find your assigned seat on the floor.
Getting ready for the big day
Tassels start on the right and move to the left at the end of the ceremony.
What to bring: A clear bag policy is enforced. Bring as little as possible.
What not to bring: Noisemakers, balloons, large signs, confetti, glass vases or anything that blocks someone’s view.
What to wear: Graduates should arrive in full regalia. Comfortable shoes are a must. Don’t forget: You’ll be walking on turf.
Parking and arrival: Give yourself extra time. You’ll be glad you did.

Ceremony 101: What to expect
Graduates receive a diploma tube. Diplomas are mailed after the ceremony.
The graduate experience: Staff will guide you every step of the way: where to sit, when to stand and when to line up.
Don’t miss your moment: Your name is announced only if you’re present.
Diploma: You’ll cross the stage and receive a diploma tube. Your official diploma will be mailed after final processing.
The guest experience: Once the ceremony begins, please stay seated and keep aisles clear.
Watch from anywhere: Both ceremonies will be livestreamed at etsu.edu/commencement.

The grand finale: Why you should stay until the end
Grads receive a commemorative Running Bucky pin at the end of the ceremony.
Stay for the conferral: The moment you’ve been working toward — the conferral of your degree — happens at the very end. Turn your tassel with the Class of 2026.
Stay for the alma mater: ETSU’s Bluegrass Pride Band performs the Alma Mater, a meaningful, can’t-miss moment.
Stay for the pin: The exclusive Class of 2026 Buc Badge commemorative pin is handed out only after the ceremony concludes.
Stay for each other: Afterward, grads and faculty can remain on the floor for photos. Families can meet outside at a pre-planned spot.
